Building a new and complete portal using existing components

 

The team at the APRA were using an MS Access based solution which was nearing end of life. We replaced this with an online portal which allows the team to securely log in and support Rodeo events. A key achievement of this solution is that we were able to move the many years of existing event and member data into the new system.

The system includes:

  • Administration backend and member portal.
  • Automatic event draw generation.
  • Event entry with eligibility rules.
  • Multiple family member entry.
  • Team entry.
  • Online Payments.
  • Automatically generated and pre-populated MS Word and Pdf reports.
  • Historic event archive.

Think Digital – Figma to Solution

 

Working for the digital design team at Kopi Su Studio, Xelleron built a web application self-assessment tool for arts and cultural organisations. The Think Digital application offers a digital capabilities overview and supports the development of a digital strategy. We used the Xelleron framework and existing components to build a prototype followed by a production version of the tool. This included complex workflows, features like note taking, flagging and showing recent edits to enhance a sense of co-presence within teams.

The front end of the tool was implemented by converting Figma designs provided by Kopi Su Studio to code. This workflow allowed us to build a functional and beautiful solution for the end client and also to facilitate WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility compliance.

Existing Solution Maintenance and Helping other Software Teams

 

We assist the internal Software Team at EarthCheck by providing the following services:

  1. General Software Maintenance of their existing MVC C# .Net solutions.
  2. Collaborating with their team to develop a variety of white-labelled products that integrate seamlessly with the existing codebase.
  3. Helping with streamlining the development environment and codebase.
  4. Enhancing the performance of some of their web applications.

A notable achievement was a recent project that streamlined the development environment, resulting in ongoing time savings of 20-25% for each Software Engineer.

The solution enables cancer drug discovery through providing an easy to use yet highly secure portal and associated database backend to allow the PACT team to enter, analyze and present their protein targets for cancer therapeutics.

THE ELEGALS LITIGATORS TOOLKIT

Easy-to-use solutions to assist with license management

 

The Elegals Litigators Toolkit is used by a wide range of legal industry professionals. The problem was that it can be difficult to manage the licensing conditions and alert users who may have inadvertently exceeded their license quota within the Joomla framework.

The solution was to create an easy-to-use plugin to assist with license management.

Migrating existing data into new systems

 

The team at the SGRACQ was administering their membership via an old MS Access database which had reached end of life. This is a common problem we help clients with.

We built a secure online portal to help the client administer their membership. We also migrated the many years worth of existing data into the new system.

Building a complete online fund administration web application

 

Amco Management Pty Ltd were tasked with administering the Construction Industry Redundancy Trust as well as the JETCo training scheme. This was a complex process involving a variety of stakeholders such as Employers, Employees, External Auditors and the Fund Owners.
We developed an online Web Application with the following features:

  • ATO Single Touch Payroll
  • Bank Payments
  • Claim and Approval workflows
  • JETCo Eligibility assessment calculator
  • Donation contribution handling
  • Employee Claims

  • Member, Auditor and various administration user levels

One of the key accomplishments was the migration and data cleansing of over 20 years of existing data into a clean relational database with strong referential integrity capable of handling increased automation.

A built-in form editor allowed the administrators to make many improvements without resorting to programmatic help, thus saving substantially on development costs as well as resulting in faster turnaround for these types of improvements.

Entering timesheets and generating custom invoices made simple

 

It can be time consuming to track and invoice time for projects.

The Xelleron Invoice solution has a simple mobile friendly time entry screen to make it easy for the team to enter their times against projects.

Invoices can then be automatically generated based on customizable MS Excel templates.

ACCOUNTING SOLUTIONS

Roberts + Morrow custom Excel work papers

Roberts + Morrow have long relied on custom-built Excel files to generate work papers for their self-managed super fund (SMSF) clients, with data sourced through Class Super. However, recent upgrades to Class Super’s API made the existing VB-based macro system incompatible.

To address this, we developed a new solution that enables seamless integration with Class Super via their new OAuth 2 API, ensuring the team can continue delivering work papers efficiently. The new system offers several key benefits:

  • Improved Performance: Data is now downloaded in a fraction of the time, significantly speeding up the process of completing client files.
  • Seamless Year Handling: The system handles different financial years without manual backend changes, streamlining the work paper generation process.
  • Future-Proof Customizations: Built on modern architecture, the solution can be easily updated as new data endpoints become available, ensuring long-term scalability.
